Our Story

Alot of time and research goes into finding the appropriate male to breed with here at JCG. We joined Charlie (Standard Poodle) to our family in 2015 for his bloodlines were intelligent, calmed temped and stunning.

In 2016 Bessy had a fluke pregnancy with Charlie where they produced amazing medium sized babies; even though we never saw them join. Our Standard Groodle, Bodhi was unable to fall pregnant - after three years of trying naturally.

This year we contacted Craigieburn Animal Hospital to find out more about their Artificial Insemination program and we decided it was the route we were going to take. At the end of May we took Bodhi and Charlie down in separate transportation (having had the night separated) and the AI took place .Artificial insemination (AI) is the intentional introduction of sperm into a female's uterus or cervix for the purpose of achieving a pregnancy through in vivo fertilisation by means other than sexual intercourse. 4 weeks later we had a confirmed pregnancy!

We decided to use this method for Bessy and Charlie aswell as we had never seen him join with a female before and to our surprise Bessy has had a litter of atleast 4 confirmed for mid July!
